NORSKE SKOG'S PINE PLANTATION- OUR DEVASTATION

Our family property was destroyed by a fire that came through Norske Skog's industrial pine plantation. It wiped out all our structures, kilometres of fencing, bridge, water tanks and pumps,  we have been ruined by this. Our land is completely surrounded by Norske Skog land. To further complicate things, our land is also subject to restrictive council zoning which was specifically implemented to benefit the business which is owned by Norske Skog.

 Norske Skog advertisment printed on the 21st February 2011 in the "Mercury" newspaper supplement , stated:
"CARE: Before any resources are retrieved from our sustainable softwood plantations we would like to know the locals are looked after"

We don't feel looked after, Norske Skog.
